The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) issued two notices that outline the requirements a building owner (or tenant) must meet in order to deduct energy efficient commercial building upgrades. IRS Notice 2006-52 introduces the requirements and IRS Notice 2008-40 serves to clarify and amplify these requirements.
